Forklift Operator

Operate a sit-down propane-powered forklift to safely transport, load, unload, and stage steel products weighing several thousand pounds throughout warehouse and production areas. Move large bundles of materials on wood pallets, load and unload flatbed trailers while ensuring proper weight distribution, and conduct daily forklift inspections including monitoring fuel levels and reporting maintenance concerns. Read work orders, shipping documents, and inventory records to accurately move and stage materials, maintaining awareness of load capacities and safe operating practices for heavy loads. Follow OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and established material-handling protocols while assisting with inventory control, material organization, and warehouse housekeeping. Work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure efficient workflow and on-time deliveries.
