Job Summary
Move sorted pallet stacks to staging areas using Relogistics forklift equipment while adhering to strict safety procedures. Hand-sort wooden pallets and repair damaged ones using a nail gun as needed. Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the facility. This role involves supporting production requirements, loading and unloading customer trailers, and potentially lifting pallets weighing 50 to 75 lbs by hand. You will work the first shift Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm in Woonsocket, RI. Forklift certification and one to three years of experience are preferred. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
- Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
- May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification preferred
- 1-3 years of forklift experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
