Job Summary
Safely operate a forklift to pile and take down bulk product up to six pallets high, including loading and unloading dry and frozen freight. Enter data using a computer inventory management system and use handhelds and truck-mounted scanners to support pallet transfers. Perform daily safety checks, change batteries, and organize materials for shift start while strictly adhering to Lock Out/Tag Out and PPE protocols. Communicate tote needs and issues to the supervisor and accurately label products and fill out paperwork daily. Work rotating 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday) with bi-weekly rotation between days, afternoons, and nights, open to on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully pass site-specific practical and theoretical forklift training
- Must be able to meet minimum dexterity requirements of this position: bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, etc.
- This position is suggested to be a medium to heavy lifting capability role: approx. 5-25kg (11-55lbs)
- Rotating 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday), with a bi-weekly rotation between Days, Afternoons, and Nights - open to on-call shifts including over-time
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, cooperation, and teamwork at all times including cross training others
- Must display a strong sense of urgency, must be dependable, reliable and punctual
- Willingness to cross-train in other departments once a full and competent operation and understanding of their respective area has been completed
- Ability to simultaneously manage a variety of work tasks and priorities
