Job Summary
Forklift Operator responsible for safe, compliant warehouse operations. Key duties include operating forklift to load/unload freight, palletizing and stretch-wrapping products, maintaining clean and safe work areas, labeling containers, managing inventory and materials for production runs, and assisting with end-of-run material disposal and storage. Requires passing a forklift operator examination, ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and 500 lbs occasionally with a lifting device, reading/writing English, and flexible hours. Must adhere to safety rules, perform daily forklift maintenance and inspections, and support warehouse and production needs as assigned. High school diploma or GED preferred; mechanical aptitude and ability to follow plant policies are essential. Background check and possible substance test may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED; experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Ability to pass a written forklift operator examination and skill test
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. frequently during entire shift
- Ability to handle 500 lbs. drums occasionally during shift with use of lifting device
- Ability to work flexible hours to satisfy customer requirements
