Job Summary
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, or forklift; assembles orders on pallets or shelves; reads production schedules to determine items to move; maintains inventory and records; may use a computer to enter records; supports safety policies and teamwork to meet department objectives; requires a high school diploma or GED and 3-6 months related experience; physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and use of protective equipment in a dusty, noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-6 months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 20 lbs constantly
