Job Summary
This role involves operating a forklift and performing general plant responsibilities, including maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations. Responsibilities include assisting in inventory control activities, communicating with supervisors and coworkers, and adhering to established safety policies. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of warehouse operations, the ability to lift and transport weights up to 50 pounds, and effective communication skills. Other requirements include reliable transportation and at least one year of forklift operating experience.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience operating a forklift
- Strong knowledge of warehouse work instructions, safety, and housekeeping procedures
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to lift, move, and transport up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to work rotating day/night 12-hour shifts
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varied backgrounds
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and/or under stressful situations
- Ability to proactively problem solve
Desired Qualifications
- Current forklift certification (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application
