Job Summary
Forklift Operator responsible for the safe handling of components and materials using a forklift (6,500 lb propane), overhead crane, pallet jack, or hand truck. Load, unload, transport, and store materials; inspect components and materials received using plans, BOM, MOC, receipt slip and other documents; identify and track components; maintain a clean reception area and prepare for recycling; attach slings, hooks, or lifting devices; wrap or band material for shipment; communicate with supply and quality on non-compliant deliveries and participate in non-compliance reporting; participate in inventory/material counts and assist with loading as needed; follow safe operation procedures and contribute to a culture of accuracy and high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift license required
- Overhead crane certification is an asset
- High School Diploma
- ERP system experience and Microsoft Office experience (an asset)
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Strong sense of time management, organization, and urgency
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Perform tasks with precision, thoroughness, and attention to detail
