Job Summary
Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials, move deliveries between storage areas and loading docks, and deliver stock to machines safely and on time. Complete forklift inspections, document maintenance work orders, locate stock before shifts, and examine products for quality conformance. Maximize equipment utilization while adhering to the daily production schedule and submitting accurate reports on production, safety, and operational data. Maintain a clean and safe environment in a manufacturing setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noise.
Required Qualifications
- Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift
- Required to maintain a current Fork Lift Operator License
- Forklift certification per OSHA standards
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred
- Prior work experience as a fork lift operator preferred
- Knowledge of various material-handling equipment an asset
