Job Summary
Operate electric forklifts to unload and load pallets in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces, moving levers and pressing pedals to control truck and lifting apparatus. Store and remove pallets from rack locations, hand stack product onto and off pallets into packing areas, and transfer leftover items to the Home slot. Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, removing ice, scrubbing aisles, and picking up trash. Perform order selector duties as needed and ensure all aisles are cleared at the end of the shift. Requires ability to work nights, lift up to 80 pounds, and handle wet, hot, and loud warehouse conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Age 18+
- High school diploma/GED or 6 months related warehouse experience or training
- 6 months of warehouse distribution experience
- Ability to work nights
- Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Computer skills
- Must be able to handle up to 80 lbs
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 -80 pounds
