Job Summary
Load and unload trucks and rail cars, moving materials between storage and work areas. Break and pack items to correct sizes, label product before loading, and provide general preventive maintenance on equipment. Complete preshift startup checklists, maintain organized yards, empty trash and wood hoppers, and ensure all paperwork and shipping records are accurate. Adhere to forklift rules, participate in safety and CI programs, and report equipment concerns immediately. Operate under immediate supervision with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 9th-grade basic education
- High school diploma
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
Desired Qualifications
- GED preferred but not required
- 6 months to 1 year of experience driving a forklift or operating similar equipment
- Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques
