Job Summary
Operate a Hyster 180 forklift to move lumber and materials throughout a lumber yard and production areas, load/unload, transport between inventory and production, and stage finished lumber. Support production by supplying materials, assist with moving in-process materials between workstations to maintain flow, and help resolve bottlenecks. Perform pre-shift inspections, conduct basic maintenance on forklifts, maintain a clean and safe yard, complete production records, and follow all safety standards and procedures. Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives; opportunities for advancement and on-the-job forklift certification. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of 9th grade education or equivalent
- Experience operating large forklifts (such as Hyster 180) in a lumber yard or outdoor environment preferred
- Forklift certification (ability to complete)
