Job Summary
Build outgoing orders for lumber and building materials using a forklift, loading and unloading completed orders onto delivery equipment while maintaining safe stacking methods. Double-check all loads for accuracy and ensure they are thoroughly secured for transport, reading and interpreting order tickets to select appropriate materials. Follow company safety procedures and operator manuals, keeping work areas stocked and neat to facilitate efficient processes. Report any delays or discrepancies to management and treat customers and coworkers professionally. No weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret orders and invoices
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Experience working in a team atmosphere
- Ability to lift 75-100 pounds consistently
- Must take and pass drug test
- Consent to a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of dimension lumber, panel products, and other building materials
