Job Summary
Drive an industrial forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Unload and stack material on and off a commercial flatbed trailer while keeping inventory organized and safely stacked. Operate a scan gun to track inventory movements and identify various lumber sizes and treatments. Respond promptly to customer and plant needs through efficient truck loading and unloading. Assist in picking up spilled materials and perform housekeeping and clean-up activities. Maintain organization across all warehouses and meet productivity standards. Report unsafe conditions and use equipment properly.
Required Qualifications
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Must have previous warehouse and forklift experience
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be motivated
- Must be an energetic team player
- Must be career-focused
- Must be willing to work hard
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must have a clear command of the English language
- Must be able to follow instructions and respond to management direction
- Must be able to get on and off the lift and restack lumber
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must have a High School diploma or GED
