Job Summary
Operate powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and move materials between storage areas, machines, loading docks, and trucks. Deliver stock to machines safely and on time while completing daily production schedules. Perform forklift inspections, document maintenance work orders, and maximize equipment utilization at available capacity. Complete assigned reports on production data, machine status, safety, and quality. Make recommendations to optimize schedules for cost, quality, delivery, and service goals. Handle special projects as business dictates. Maintain confidentiality of personally identifiable information in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience
- Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters
- Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities
- Working knowledge of layouts, production specifications and product quality specifications
- Must have attention to detail and focused concentration
- Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota
- Must be able to adhere to process protocol
- Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner
- Must regularly lift up to 50 lbs
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Valid Forklift License
- Valid State ID
Desired Qualifications
- 0-2 years of corrugated packaging or general manufacturing experience
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others
- Ability to use warehouse scanners
