Job Summary
Operates electric and/or gas-powered industrial forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move finished products and dry materials. Responsibilities include delivering, stacking, and unstacking pallets; recording stock counts and weights; performing physical inventory; weighing materials and recording on tags or production schedules; assisting in battery changes and propane tank filling; occasionally stacking cases and removing damaged ones; participating in training of others; conducting required quality checks and reporting equipment breakdowns. Emphasis on safe operation of forklift, inventory control, and collaboration with plant personnel.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years related experience and/or training
- Must obtain and maintain a valid equipment operator’s license with a Lift Truck and platform/Scissor Lift endorsement within 30 days of starting the bid
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
