Job Summary
Operate forklift to load/unload materials, move materials to storage areas and to/from loading docks, load trailers/railcars, and place materials in correct storage bays. Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, ensure loads are secure, and assist with warehouse cleanup. Follow daily production/shipping schedules and adhere to inventory control procedures while working outdoors in varying weather. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance. Knowledge of handling bales, pallets, and various containers (e.g., gaylord boxes) and familiarity with safety protocols and PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keeping
- Ability to perform job duties accurately, timely, and safely
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Auditory and visual acuity to monitor surroundings and safety signals
- Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to operate forklift and transport materials as required
