Job Summary
Forklift Operator needed to support production and shipping/receiving in a family-owned flavor & fragrance company. Responsibilities include unloading and labeling received materials, verifying weights, entering receipts into the AS400 system, sampling and forwarding materials to QC, moving materials to warehouse locations, recording stock locations, correcting IT-system data, coordinating with Purchasing on vendor issues, picking and staging finished goods for loading, applying packing lists, inspecting carrier trucks for Hazmat credentials, loading shipments, signing shipment documents, and ensuring safety and SQF compliance. Requires 2+ years forklift experience, strong organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, good communication, and proficiency with MS Word & Excel. Physical stamina for long shifts and ability to handle up to 50 lbs, plus exposure to aromatic chemicals and PPE usage. Salary range $22-$24 per hour plus discretionary bonus programs. Location: Carteret, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years forklift experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- English reading/writing/speaking
- Computer skills including MS Word & Excel
- Attention to detail
- Ability to analyze regulatory requirements for specific orders
- Team oriented but able to work independently
