Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator responsible for safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using equipment including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behinds, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Efficiently load/unload freight, stack and store merchandise, pick/assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, and label/sort/wrap/pack/repack as directed. Operate equipment per OSHA standards to promote safety and meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly work environment. May perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED preferred and at least 3 months of related experience preferred. Ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends; pay close attention to details and meet deadlines. Physical demands include lifting 10–55 lbs (up to 70 lbs for pallet rebuilding), occasional climbing or balancing, and tolerating cold environments (32F to -45F) and heights up to 30 ft.
