Job Summary
Operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, count merchandise, and create pallet modules while unloading inbound shipments and moving product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas, ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Pull and prepare product for shipment by loading and unloading materials using the forklift, maintaining equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion, and performing minor maintenance. Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment, keeping appropriate records to guarantee tight inventory controls and security. Assists in physical inventories, ensures proper stock rotation, and maintains certification on all necessary equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years forklift experience
- Basic math skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prolonged walking and standing for 8 continuous hours including but not limited to a concrete or tile surface
- Product replenishing which includes frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing and pulling
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Maintains certification on all necessary equipment
