Job Summary
Move sorted pallet stacks to staging areas using Relogistics forklift equipment while adhering to strict safety procedures. Hand-sort wooden pallets and repair damaged ones using a nail gun when required. Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the facility. This role supports production requirements by loading and unloading customer trailers across various site areas. You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets in some locations. Relogistics provides end-to-end pallet solutions, from supply to retrieval, and values its workforce as the heart of the business.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
- Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
- May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification preferred
- 1-3 years of forklift experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
