Job Summary
Unload inbound shipments, stack merchandise in appropriate areas, and ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage. Pull and prepare product for shipment, perform picking duties, and move product from storage into rail cars or trailers using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment. Maintain equipment through daily inspections and minor maintenance, keep records for inventory control, and assist in physical inventories. Operate all equipment safely following prescribed work methods, ensure proper stock rotation, and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area while complying with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least one year experience operating a forklift
- Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting and dividing
- Must be able to read orders for picking and staging of products
- Must be able to complete the pre-shift inspection forms
- Must be able to pass the Scotts forklift exams and obtain and maintain a valid operator's license
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred education level is a High School Diploma or GED
