Job Summary
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, sort, stage, and transport products into and out of a warehouse. Check inbound and outbound product for accuracy and damage, then use handheld scanners for warehouse management system compliance. Perform daily maintenance inspections of equipment and work cooperatively with other associates to keep the facility clean and orderly. Follow company safety policies and procedures while completing additional duties assigned by a supervisor. This role requires a minimum of one year of forklift experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid forklift certification. Candidates must pass a drug screening and background investigation, with flexibility to work overtime and adjust schedules as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift
- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform physically exerting tasks of the jobs in a warehouse environment that may be non-temperature controlled
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation
- Must be able to work overtime and adjust schedule as needed
- Forklift certified
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with RF equipment
- Warehouse experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience in a food grade, refrigerated warehouse
- Familiarity with and ability to use order management systems such as WMS
