Job Summary
Forklift Operator-1 responsible for safely and efficiently operating a sit-down motorized forklift to load and unload trucks, pull finished pallets from production lines, and place finished product in the warehouse as directed by the onboard WMS system. Duties include moving levers and pedals to operate the forklift, unloading and stacking materials, planning supply and material requirements based on production schedules, locating and verifying supplies, ensuring inventory accuracy, securing pallets for transport, maintaining a safe work environment, performing preventive maintenance, logging movements, and continuously updating job knowledge through training. Emphasis on safety, timely communication, and adherence to procedures to support production and distribution of Niagara’s bottled-water products.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to safely operate a sit down motorized forklift
- Ability to navigate within a WMS system
- Regular and predictable attendance as an essential function
