Job Summary
Forklift Operator needed to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload materials within a warehouse. Responsibilities include operating an 18-ton propane sit-down forklift, stacking containers up to 35 feet high (up to 10,000 lbs), performing assembly-type tasks with hand/power tools, welding and fabricating per drawings, rigging materials, scheduling forklift and vehicle maintenance, and ensuring quality standards while adhering to OSHA policies. Must be able to move items with pallet jacks/hand carts, conduct basic computer tasks for document handling, perform shop cleanup, and participate in safety trainings including background checks and drug testing. Required Qualifications
- Willing to take a background check and drug test
- Ability to operate an 18-ton propane sit-down forklift
- Experience with loading/unloading containers and handling heavy loads
- Familiarity with pallet jack and hand tools
- Welding and fabrication tasks as described (welding roofs/panels, shop welding)
- Adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
- Basic computer skills for scanning/uploading documents
- Willingness to perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Ability to schedule forklift and local delivery truck maintenance
