Job Summary
Complete assigned service jobs with expert precision, documenting and recommending additional repairs to prepare customer quotes. Collaborate with the Shop Foreman and service managers on technical challenges, while attending training classes to stay current on new products. Submit daily paperwork including timecards and maintenance reports, keeping the shop organized and offering assistance to fellow techs. Prioritize safety by following rules and policies diligently while repairing powered industrial equipment, including forklift trucks. This role supports the Service Department at Wolter Inc.'s Sugar Grove, IL facility, where you will engage with state-of-the-art equipment as part of a team dedicated to moving, storing, and powering the world efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as either a diesel mechanic/technician, heavy duty mechanic, or forklift mechanic/technician
- Masterful skills in repairing powered industrial equipment
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience fixing forklift trucks and other products we represent, including LP Gas, diesel, and electric trucks
- Successful completion of required training courses
- Certification to operate material handling equipment
- Ownership of tools necessary for repairs, as per our recommended tool list
