Job Summary
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts and material handling equipment while performing preventive maintenance, repairing electric and diesel units, and replacing worn components like motors and bearings. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, brakes, and steering parts, maintain service logs, and conduct safety inspections to ensure OSHA compliance. Support repairs on dock doors, levelers, and conveyor systems, keeping the maintenance area clean and safe. Work closely with operations teams to minimize downtime. Requires 2+ years of experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a clean MVR. Located in a growing logistics operation in Upstate with a salary of $75k-$100k.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or industrial equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience troubleshooting electric and internal combustion forklifts
- Ability to read service manuals and wiring diagrams
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
- Posses a drivers license with a clean MVR
- Final candidates must be able to take pre-placement physical
- Final candidates must be able to pass drug screen
- Final candidates must be able to pass criminal background check
- Final candidates must be able to enroll in to direct deposit
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in forklift repair or industrial maintenance
- Experience with brands such as Toyota, Hyster, and Yale
- Welding or fabrication experience
- OSHA safety knowledge
