Forklift Materials Handler

Forklift Materials Handler performs loading/unloading and movement of materials within center, cross dock, trailers, yard, or work site using forklift or other handling equipment. Responsibilities include reading work orders, inspecting items, opening containers, loading/unloading onto pallets and into carrier vehicles, completing receiving and shipping documents per ProTrans specifications, using a mobile scanner, labeling shipments, maintaining a clean work environment, conducting daily safety and equipment checks, operating banding, taping, and sealing equipment, and contributing ideas for safety and process improvements. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED (or equivalent), ability to read safety rules and manuals, basic math with money and weights, proficiency with scanning equipment, and passing the ProTrans Forklift Performance Test. Bilingual English/Spanish is desired in some centers.
