Job Summary
Forklift Materials Handler on 2nd shift (5pm-1am) loads, unloads, and moves materials within and around the center, cross-dock, trailers, yard, or work site. Responsibilities include reading work orders, inspecting items for identity and condition, opening containers, loading/unloading onto pallets or vehicles, preparing shipping/receiving documents via ProTrans specifications, using mobile scanners, labeling shipments, maintaining a clean and safe work area, conducting daily safety and equipment checks, operating banding/taping/sealing tools, and contributing ideas for continual safety and performance improvements. Must meet education and testing requirement (ProTrans Forklift Performance Test) and pass safety and operational procedures. English reading/writing required; bilingual English/Spanish desired in some centers.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; or 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must pass Protrans Forklift Performance Test
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand and move for extended periods
- Forklift operation experience or training (implied by role)
