Job Summary
Lead and train forklift operators to perform all tasks involved in the movement of products, including pushing, pulling, lifting, stacking, tiering, or moving goods within the facility. Drive a powered industrial truck to transport finished jobs to correct areas, place pallets in designated locations, and perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits. Reduce errors and safety incidents by assigning operators to specific jobs, verifying WMS functions, and conducting physical inventory of corrugated materials. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by moving empty pallets, verifying process adherence, and notifying supervisors of mechanical or material issues. Coordinate with managers to ensure production line coordination and perform line clearances. Work 1st and 2nd shifts in a production-based warehouse setting, adhering to company safety policies and GMP guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to pass certification to operate a forklift
- Stand-up forklift experience
- Previous warehouse production experience
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
- Ability to effectively work in teams, and to lead, train, and direct a team
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
- Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions
- Ability to consistently produce at a high level
- Ability to work with plant management for required results
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
- Ability to move and handle merchandise throughout the facility generally weighing up to 25 pounds
- Walking, standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of the shift
