Job Summary
Collect and deliver raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products while rotating stock, loading, and unloading skids and bands. Identify materials to ensure correct supply, move and store items to keep assigned areas supplied, and clear scrap. Work from production schedules and orders, assist other departments as necessary, and maintain material storage areas. Complete daily forklift safety inspections, cycle counts, and truck maintenance by placing units on charge or notifying supervision. Ensure all material is properly labeled prior to transport and follow safety rules to keep work areas clean. Maintain understanding of HFI and mill claim processes. Operates in a manufacturing environment requiring constant walking, standing, and handling in tight areas with heat and noise exposure.
Required Qualifications
- At least three to five years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
- Exposure/experience to manufacturing
- Forklift Certified
- Understands quality, PPE requirements and safety and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures
- Must attain a good understanding of HFI and mill claim processes
- Must be able to walk and stand
- Must be able to push, pull, climb, handle, reach, stretch, and work in tight and high places
- Must be able to work in inside conditions, extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), exposure to humidity, working in tight areas, high noise levels from production environment, including some exposure to outside weather elements, oil and dirt
