Job Summary
Operate a forklift to lift, pull, and push materials onto forks from elevated heights, navigating populated plant areas and storage zones. Drive around the facility to acquire and transport raw materials to production workstations, locating and moving stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Perform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure safety, inspect for damages, and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Read and interpret schedules/tickets, use measuring tape to 16th, and comply with company policies while maintaining a safe, orderly environment. Requires proven forklift operator experience, valid certification, and ability to work at heights up to 20 ft.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail
- familiarity with industrial equipment
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Valid certification to operate forklift preferred
- one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role
