Job Summary
Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using pallet jacks, hi-los, and forklifts. Accurately track inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System and RF scanners, then organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, perform regular equipment inspections for OSHA compliance, and collaborate on building pallets while maintaining a clean work environment. This role requires previous material handling experience, familiarity with WMS and RF scanning, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Full-time or contract-to-hire positions are available in Louisville, KY, with benefits including dental, health, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology is advantageous
