Job Summary
Forklift Operator II handles loading/unloading of material on trucks and rail cars, moves material between storage and work areas, breaks packs to correct size, and labels material for transport. Maintains accurate shipping/receiving paperwork, performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment, completes preshift startup checklists, keeps the yard organized, and participates in safety and continuous improvement activities. Requires basic math and inventory techniques, and completion of forklift licensing. Reports to supervision and performs duties with attention to policy compliance and team safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 9th-grade education
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- 6 months to 1 year of forklift or similar equipment experience
- Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
- 18 years of age
