Job Summary
Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using pallet jacks, hi-los, and forklifts. Accurately track inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System and RF scanners. Organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space while assisting in shipping and receiving operations. Perform regular equipment inspections to ensure OSHA compliance and collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipment. Maintain a clean work environment and troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Requires previous material handling experience, familiarity with WMS, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Full-time contract-to-hire role in Louisville, KY with health, dental, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology is advantageous
