Job Summary
Move, load, unload, and stack materials using industrial trucks within warehouses, construction sites, or factories, focusing on efficient material flow, inventory accuracy via RF scanners, and strict adherence to safety protocols including OSHA standards. Perform daily equipment checks, maintain clean work areas, and identify, verify, and transport requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials to machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, and storage areas. Apply understanding of machine loading capacity to ensure prompt delivery, use protective strapping to secure loads, and manage piles of drums, skids, and pallets in specified areas. Report mechanical or electrical difficulties to truck mechanics and dispose of waste materials in designated containers. Work a continental 12-hour shift schedule, with a valid state driver's license and prior forklift experience required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations
- Ability to work a continental 12-hour shift schedule (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.)
- Valid state driver's license
- Prior experience operating forklifts
Desired Qualifications
- forklift or heavy machinery certification
- Experience operating warehouse equipment, including RF scanners, pallet wrappers, label machines, hand jacks, and hand dollies
- OSHA training
