Forklift Driver

Forklift Driver needed at Equity LifeStyle Properties’ marina operations in Cortez, FL. You will operate and manage forklift trucks to load and unload boats to various locations, move items to/from storage, water, racks and trailers, and maintain safety standards. Duties include locating/moving boats to water, trailer and rack spaces, conducting boat inspections (length, height, beam, condition), maintaining radio contact with dock/office staff, using Speedy Dock, staying current on launches/retrievals, identifying damages or shortages, aiding dock staff in keeping the marina tidy, fueling boats, greeting clients, inspecting and maintaining forklifts and marina machinery, keeping daily forklift inspections records, managing walkie talkies and tablets, training dockhand staff, and ensuring a safe, efficient, injury-free workplace. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, OSHA-compliant forklift certification, a valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work in varying temperatures; the employer offers a benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off).
