Job Summary
Operate and manage industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, moving items to and from storage facilities, warehouses, machines, and vehicles while maintaining the highest safety standards. Unload merchandise from incoming vehicles, stack stock to assigned places, and transport raw materials to production workstations. Inspect machinery, perform regular maintenance such as recharging batteries and lubricating equipment, and keep updated records of inventory and activity logs. Identify and report damages, shortages, and quality deficiencies as necessary. Ensure a safe, efficient, and injury-free working environment by complying with company policies and legal guidelines. Requires current OSHA certification, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience driving industrial vehicles, preferably forklifts
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Current auto insurance
- Current certification to operate forklifts in accordance with OSHA standards
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment
- Attention to detail
- Excellent physical condition
- The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- The ability to perform tasks that require good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance
- The ability to assess and judge weights, distances and heights
- The ability to work in various temperatures according to seasonal weather variations
