Job Summary
Position: Forklift Driver at CHEP in South Ockendon. Safely operate counterbalance forklifts (4.5 Ton, double/triple fork experience preferred) to load/unload goods, direct visiting vehicles, and maintain production-flow in a busy yard. Contribute to safety, quality and stock-control standards, assist with equipment inspection and minor repairs, and ensure proper handling of hire stock and raw materials. Prior experience with RTITB/ITSSAR licensing is advantageous; in-house licenses with plans to upgrade to external certification are acceptable. Team-focused role in a 6am–2pm/2pm–10pm rotating shift schedule; full-time, permanent employment with competitive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Counterbalance forklift experience
- FLT license preferred (RTITB/ITSSAR) or in-house license
- experience in a busy yard environment
- loading and unloading HGVs
- ability to operate double/triple fork FLTs
- safety and quality compliance
- ability to follow stock rotations
