Job Summary
Operate counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to transport raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods across the production facility. Perform daily pre-operational equipment inspections and report mechanical issues immediately. Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory counts, and equipment usage. Follow strict safety protocols for load securing, lifting practices, and traffic control zones. Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery and staging. Assist in inventory audits, cycle counts, and stock organization. Respond quickly to urgent material handling needs during peak production periods. Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement in workplace safety. Requires OSHA-compliant forklift certification, two years of hands-on experience, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Flexible shifts including weekends and overtime are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- formal forklift certification required (OSHA-compliant)
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on forklift operation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently under high-pressure conditions
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, material handling best practices, and OSHA regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation
