Job Summary
Conduct janitorial and waste removal duties in a warehouse environment using walk-behind and ride-on sweepers, scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment. Handle site-generated waste through approved streams to ensure production remains constant while maintaining the yard area to a high safety standard. Keep all equipment clean, well-maintained, and in safe working order, responding promptly to client callouts and communicating effectively with the team and line manager. Comply with Health & Safety legislation and wear protective clothing throughout the shift. Full training on cleaning methods and equipment is provided, with a requirement to hold a valid private counterbalance licence and pass a basic DBS check.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level and knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn
- Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn
- High attention to detail
- An ability to work under pressure
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- An ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- This is an active role that requires you to be physically fit
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening process including completing a basic DBS check, submitting to random drug and alcohol testing and completing a company medical
- Hold a valid private counterbalance licence
