Job Summary
Forklift Driver 1st Shift (Shipping) operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage; stages product to be moved or shipped; maintains an inventory of items; transports and processes manufacturing by-products; performs routine inspections on hoist; may perform battery service and LP/Propane tasks; adheres to safety policies including hazardous waste handling and lockout-tagout rules; must know the forklift's dimensions and load capacities and be able to navigate storage layouts, ramps, and narrow aisles; capable of moving forklifts in tight spaces and operating controls for starting, stopping, backing, and driving through various environments; participates in special projects as assigned; typical schedule is 1st shift, Mon-Fri with possible overtime; pay range is $16.50-$18.00/hour with benefits and contingent pre-employment checks.
