Job Summary
Maintain reliable transportation and punctual attendance while adhering to company policies and safety standards. Perform warehouse functions including loading/unloading trucks, order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, conduct preventive maintenance, and transport materials to designated areas. Clean work areas following 5S standards, perform quality checks, support physical inventory processes, and maintain accurate documentation. Communicate effectively with other shifts and team leaders. Mandatory overtime may be required, with or without advance notice. This role supports a variety of warehouse operations at BLG Logistics, Inc. – Ladson I, where Team Members are cross-trained to support multiple areas of the facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift certification
- Ability to follow multi-step written and oral instructions
- Basic math and reading comprehension
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and equipment operation
- Ability to adapt to changing job conditions and perform non-technical tasks
- Ability to apply common sense and follow simple problem-solving techniques in routine situations
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials
- Regular lifting/moving of up to 15 lbs.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Overhead work required
- Visual acuity for close-up tasks and focus adjustment
- Monday through Friday, 6:15 AM to 2:33 PM
- Saturdays are mandatory when required
- Mandatory overtime may be required, with or without advance notice
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in general labor, construction, or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with pallet jacks, forklifts, or other industrial vehicles
- Ability to manage physical workload and maintain a strong work ethic
- 1–3 months of relevant experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
- Forklift certification preferred (on-the-job training available if needed)
