Job Summary
Operate a forklift to lift, pull, and push materials onto forks from elevated heights while navigating populated plant areas and storage zones. Drive around the facility to acquire materials, locate stock for pallets or crates, and transport raw materials to production workstations. Perform safety procedures including wearing harnesses, inspect machinery for repairs, and identify damages or quality deficiencies. Read schedules and tickets, use measuring tools, and assist with manual lifting up to 50 lbs. Maintain a safe environment by complying with policies and reporting shortages. Work the 2nd shift from 3:25pm to 1:55am Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays. Valid forklift certification and one year of manufacturing experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail
- familiarity with industrial equipment
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must have the ability to work/maneuver at elevated heights up to 20 ft.
- Depth perception required
- Climbing on and off the lift
- Continuous exposure to jarring and driving over uneven pavement
- Constantly getting on/off lift truck to manually lift/slide/flip door skins (max. 50 lbs.)
- bending, lifting, and twisting
- Picking up materials and disposing as necessary
- Valid certification to operate forklift preferred
