Job Summary
The Forge Operator I is responsible for assisting in the forgings and forming of various types of materials and shapes. Key duties include operating furnaces, managing materials during forging operations, and performing preventative maintenance on forge equipment. Candidates should possess the ability to operate both manual and power tools, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and comply with safety rules. Regular attendance is essential, and candidates must be prepared to work rotating shifts, including possible mandatory overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate the manipulator and other required equipment.
- Experience working as a crew member in a forge operation or similar environment.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance duties associated with forge operations.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in forging and heat treat processes.
