Job Summary
Provide a continuous monthly supply of poles to meet above-allocated annual production requirements by conducting routine logging inspections, pole marking, timber cruising, and flagging boundary lines. Verify quantity and quality of materials received, supervise manufacturing to ensure quality control, and direct sizes toward company needs. Contact open market producers for material fitting production needs and respond to special market requirements for poles, piling, masts, spars, and other material for lathe turning. Inspect potential timber sales, follow up with successful purchasers, and maintain industry contacts to develop future production potentials. Submit monthly estimates of pole volume and participate in the company safety program. Cover assigned regions in Western Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 Years' timber cruising and pole marking experience
- Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Forestry technical associate degree or related field preferred
- two years' related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
