Job Summary
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of seven Forest Products Traders and sales support staff, including both in-office and remote employees. Develop and execute sales strategies while driving growth through direct account management and building relationships with members and vendors. Manage budgets, P&Ls, and departmental performance to ensure alignment with the division's overall mission. Provide high-level support to members and travel locally or overnight for visits, trade shows, and regional meetings. This full-time role includes Monday–Friday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lumber wholesale, building materials sales, or commodity trading
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Strong business acumen and relationship building skills
- Results-driven, strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Full-time, in office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week)
- Primarily local; some overnight and out-of-area travel required
