Job Summary
Coordinate crew members, equipment, and supplies to complete vegetation management jobs according to contract specifications. Direct daily operations by assigning tasks, supervising performance, and ensuring all personnel wear proper PPE while following safety rules. Manage tree trimming, stump spraying, and log loading/unloading, including conducting daily truck inspections and job site cleanups. Notify property owners of work presence and obtain necessary permissions for access and tree removal. Maintain accurate records of time and materials, re-stock supplies, and perform routine equipment maintenance. Complete job briefings as required by federal law and determine emergency actions to eliminate hazards. Travel out of town for storm restoration work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have and maintain a Driver's License
- Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle
- Must have and maintain a Driver's License if hired for a driving position
- Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
- Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed
- Must meet I-9 requirements
- This position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred
- High School diploma or education equivalent preferred
