Job Summary
Foreperson directs activities of workers on construction projects (highways, pipelines, and related sites). Responsibilities include reading blueprints and job-related documents, scheduling materials and crew, obtaining quantities for billing, analyzing cost reports for production adjustments, leading site meetings (including E&S and Turnover meetings), communicating goals and ensuring alignment with company values, and maintaining professional interactions with customer representatives. Requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and basic computer skills, with the ability to meet physical requirements and operate PPE; a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR one year of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills including probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Problem solving
- Basic computer skills including Internet, email, and the use of digital cameras for work documentation
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
