Foreperson - Suffolk, VA

Foreperson coordinates crew members, equipment, tools, and supplies to complete contracted vegetation-management jobs. Directs crew performance, assigns tasks, plans work safely and efficiently, and ensures PPE and safety practices are followed. Communicates with private property owners to obtain access and discuss work details. Oversees loading/unloading of materials, operation and maintenance of equipment, and accurate record-keeping of time, materials, and job-related data. Conducts daily truck inspections, briefing sessions, and ensures safety and readiness for field work, including storm-restoration duties. Requires ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and to travel as needed. Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain first-aid/CPR certification.
