Job Summary
Schedule, coordinate, and supervise site operatives to deliver electrical construction safely, on time, and within budget. Manage equipment and materials, record operational hours, and ensure all work aligns with approved method statements and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments, deliver toolbox talks, verify job-specific training, and track daily production documentation. Test circuit continuity, repair installations, and scope material orders while adhering to occupational health and safety guidelines. Travel to remote locations, work at heights in all weather conditions, and lead by example to foster an inclusive culture.
Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve high performance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in utility and powerline construction
- Proven ability to oversee large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Journeyman Electrician and industry related safety certification
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling and safety requirements
- Experience in electrical commercial construction and maintenance
- Proficient Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- A professional and respectful attitude with a strong customer service focus
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and written
- Ability to work independently and cohesively within groups
- Capable of working at various heights with the ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
- Knowledge to interpret electrical code with a high level of mathematical aptitude
- Willingness to travel and work in remote job locations
- Mechanical strength and manual dexterity with the ability to distinguish colors to work with color-coded wiring
